Overview
SBAA Evaluation Camps will consist of one Open evaluation and two Closed evaluation camps per age group (U11-U15). There will be a minimum of two open evaluation camps from U16-U18. It is highly recommended that players wishing to play for the SBAA teams attend all sessions to assure the player a greater opportunity to demonstrate their ability and accurately be assessed.
Evaluation Process
Player:
- Players MUST attend 2 of 3 sessions. Day 1 of camps is essential
- Please show up 30 minutes prior for registration & warm up
- Upon registration,
- players will be given a number and placed in a random grid
- Players must report any injury, provide letter at time of registration
- Players will be split evenly within each age level
- Players are expected to be ready to participate at start time with appropriate soccer attire
- It is expected that all players participating during the evaluation camps are doing so with the intention of playing at the highest level. If a player is selected onto a team, it is expected that they will accept their position/team at time of contact. Any player choosing not to attend the evaluation camps without extenuating circumstances is forfeiting any spot on a team. NO POSITIONS WILL BE HELD!
- **Players not selected to U11 Select team will return to their regular team for next season. (1998 only)
Parents:
- Can assist in registering their child
- MUST remain along sidelines at all times.
- There will be no “coaching” from sideline during the evaluation process. (no verbal abuses will be tolerated)
Missing an Evaluation Camp
Evaluation exemptions will only be granted based on medical reasons or extenuating/compassionate circumstances (i.e. family death, illness).
If a player cannot attend a session(s) the following procedures must take precedent:
- he/she must provide a medical reason with a doctors note
- All injured players are still required to be in attendance at the evaluation camps.
- Exemptions must be accompanied by a letter from their Club’s technical director or president acknowledging players ability to play at this level.
